Paraplast Plus is a double filtered paraffin embedding medium which contains plastic polymers of regulated molecular weights and a small percentage (0.8%) of dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) to penetrate tissues three times faster than standard media. It melts rapidly at 56°C, and allows short ribbons of sections cut to 1µm, and excellent ribbon continuity with 2µm thicknesses.
