A versatile, modular, ergonomic metallurgical microscope system. Newly designed Plan EPI BD optics provides exceptionally bright, crisp images with good colour rendition and superior flat field of view.

- Eyepieces: Super Widefield 10X, High Eyepoint Eyepieces, FN 22 as standard.
- Viewing head: The MT8500 Series Metallurgical microscopes is equipped with either Siedentopf type binocular or Siedentopl type trinocular viewing head Inclined at 30' and rotatable through 360˚ for comfortable viewing. Optional tilting ergonomic binocular head - adjustable vertically from 10˚ to 50˚ is available.
- Nosepiece: Large smooth operating Ergonomic Quadruple nosepiece with mounting threads of 26.0mm.
- Objectives: Infinity corrected, Planachromal EPI Objectives, Plan EPI 5X10.10, W.O. 20.0mm, Plan EPI 0X/0.25, W.D. 7.48mm. Plan EPI 20XI0.40, W.O. 5.20mm, Plan EPI 50X/0.75, W.O. 0.38mm.
- Stage: Ceramic coaled, fiat-top stage, 191mm x 126mm with 100mm x 100mm travel. Equipped with precision ball bearing guides and low positioned drop down coaxial controls for X-Y movement.
- illuminator: Vertical illuminator with full Koehler design equipped with 12V 50W Halogen light source, field iris, aperture iris and filter slots. Capable of brightfield, darkfield, or simple reflected polarization technique. Includes blue clear, Green clear, Neutral density (ND SO) fitters in mounts. Automatic voltage sensing (100V - 240V) power supply and variable rheostat control are supplied in separate case. Transmitted light Koehler illuminator with BV 30W halogen lamp, automatic voltage sensing (100V - 240V) transformer and intensity control are built into the microscope base.
- Focusing Controls: Ergonomically low positioned focusing controls allow the operator to work their forearms relaxed on the working surface. Range of travel is 23mm.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Meiji Techno’s Limited Lifetime Warranty is applicable to the UK. This warranty supersedes any other warranty and is subject to the following conditions:
Warranty
Warranty of Meiji Techno’s products extends to the original purchaser of the Meiji Techno product and is not transferable.
Warranty Duration
Meiji Techno warrants this product against defects in material and/or workmanship for the life of the instrument from the date of original purchase to the original purchaser. The electrical warranty is 12 months.
Warranty Coverage
Meiji Techno will repair or replace, at its option, any instrument which under normal conditions of use and service proves to be defective in material or workmanship. No charge will be made for labour or parts with respect to defects covered by this warranty, provided that the work is done by Meiji Techno. This warranty does not cover expenses incurred in the removal or reinstallation of any instrument or instruments, whether or not proven defective. Replacement or repairs furnished under this warranty are subject to the same terms and conditions of the original warranty.
Exclusions and Limitations
Specifically excluded from this warranty are failures caused by abuse, neglect, misuse, improper operation, normal wear, accident, improper maintenance or modification. This warranty does not cover repair or replacement where normal use has exhausted the life of a part or instrument. All mechanical devices need periodic parts replacement and service to perform well. Service life of an instrument is dependent upon the care it receives and the conditions under which it has to operate. In no event shall Meiji Techno be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
