We can accept many types of filaments for repair/re-filamenting provided the bases and pins are in good condition. Repaired filaments are given the same exacting care as our new filaments; bases are cleaned and all filaments pre-flashed in a vacuum to promote stability in operation. Filaments with adjustment screws are re-centred under a light microscope.
Filaments sent for repair must be posted in a suitable transit box or tube so that the repaired filament can be returned safely. When ordering online please enclose a copy of your order confirmation when sending your old filament. Quoted lead times are from the date of receipt of your filaments at our Stansted office.
