These are used on the stage of the microscope and provide a simple and reliable means of accurately calibrating eyepiece graticules. A finely divided scale is protected by a cover glass to correspond exactly with the specimen it replaces. The scale is prepared by vacuum deposition of chrome using a photo lithography process on a glass disc and offer an excelent resistance for long term usage. The glass disk is mounted in a black anodised aluminium slide 76mm x 25mm x 1.5mm thick, for convenient handling.
Stage micrometers for use with transmitted light are available with different line lengths and sub-divisions as detailed below:
AGL4201 Stage micrometer, 10mm scale, 0.1mm sub-divisions, line width 5µm, accuracy <2µm overall
AGL4204 Stage micrometer, 2mm scale, 0.01mm sub-divisions, line width 2.5µm, accuracy <1.5µm overall
AGL4078 Stage micrometer, 1mm scale, 0.01mm sub-divisions, line width 2µm, accuracy <1µm overall
AGL4202 Stage micrometer, 0.1mm scale, 0.002mm sub-divisions, line width 1µm, accuracy <1µm overall
AGL4203 Stage micrometer, 0.1″ scale, 0.001″sub-divisions, line width 2µm, accuracy <0.0001″ overall
