Product Description

Compact-design clipping tool from NanoSoft. Compatible with NanoSoft clipping station (AGK130) and the Thermo Fisher clipping station.

The tool is designed to fit inside the clipping station to ensure the tool is not impacted by any frost from environmental moisture, even if it is subjected to LN₂ for long periods of time. The square profile of the plunger enables simple and comfortable retrieval with tweezer tips.

This design means that tools can be pre-loaded with C-Clips and cooled together, allowing the grids to be clipped simultaneously without risk of ice contamination.

Technical Data

Recommended workflow:

After loading the clipping tools with C-Clips, load them into a clipping tool rack.

Place the clipping tool rack (with clipping tools) into the clipping station for cooling.

When ready to clip, the user can use any type of tweezer to hold the back end of the clipping tool. Small ridges provide extra support to keep the clipping tool from twisting while the user transfers from the rack to the position to clip the grid.

We recommend using reverse action autogrid tweezers (AGK134) to ensure the clipping tools remain securely in position during transfer.

Place the clipping tool into position for clipping and release the tool, pressing down on the top of the clipping tool to eject the C-Clip and clip the grid. This will help ensure that you can keep the tweezers straight while pressing the plunger.

The shorter body of the clipping tool enables the user to keep the tool straighter than competitor clipping tools while clipping, which helps ensure that C-Clip inserts into the autogrid ring as intended.
