Product Description
Cameo Platinum Disks are fixed abrasive diamond discs, ideal for rapid grinding of metallographic samples. Available with either self-adhesive (SA) or magnetic (MG) backs.
All Cameo Platinum Disks are supplied with a dressing stone.

Allow improved metallographic analysis of the sample
The diamond integrated in the honeycomb cell structure allows consistent constant stock removal throughout the operation. This prevents the appearance of edge drops, including on samples of heterogeneous hardness.
Stock removal
Due to the honeycomb structure, the pressure required to grind the sample is significantly less compared to using a solid disc. The disc is less stressed therefore reducing the risk of tearing out the disc.
Reproducibility
The honeycomb cell structure has been specially designed to optimise the circulation of lubricant from one cavity to another. The abrasion residues are evacuated, guaranteeing constant abrasion.
Preparation quality
Compared to the process usually performed with several SiC abrasive papers, the CAMEO Disk range offers constant abrasion, preventing deep layers being disturbed during the first few seconds of grinding.
