Poster Village
Filling the back of the exhibition hall, the poster village is where you will find over 150 posters submitted to the mmc2017 conference. The work spans all disciplines in both physical and life sciences and many detail some really interesting cross-disciplinary collaborative work. You can browse the posters at any time during the mmc2017 and can discuss the research with the authors during the poster sessions from 4pm on the Tuesday and Wednesday.
Commercial Workshops
Dotted around the hall will be the four workshop areas, each hosting their own daily programme of drop-in, informative workshops presented by industry experts. We are presenting three workshops this year:
- Technical Sales Manager, Paul Balas, will be presenting an EM Specimen Preparation workshop on Tuesday 4th July at 11:30 in Workshop 1.
- BioWave tissue processing specialist Cindy Smith is flying over especially from the US to present two workshops, on Tuesday 4th 14:30 (in Workshop 2) and Wednesday 5th 14:30 (also in Workshop 2).
You can view the full commercial workshop programme at mmc-series.org.uk/workshops
Learning Zone
The Learning Zone is a unique feature of the mmc-series and will include seven areas including TEM, SPM, Digital Microscopy and Sample Preparation and each will feature equipment and impartial experts ready to offer advice and answer your questions. The Seminar Theatre will again host its only daily timetable of introductory talks including a few new presentations for this year such as Light Sheet Microscopy, Journal of Microscopy Author Workshops and Developing your Career.
